Custom Design: Dutch's Birth Announcement

Photobucket I've been meaning to share these, because well, this little guy is several months old now. Oops! My friend Janet wanted an announcement that featured this cute little guy's unique moniker because it's his middle name, but it's what he'll be going by.

These were inspired by Dutch's nursery. Janet painted a whole wall with a circle pattern, so I thought it was only fitting to carry that pattern on to the backer. Most of the baby boy stationery designs that I do are in blue hues, so it was fun to use some unique colors this time around.

I am so excited to share this cute idea that I did for a former coworker who is due any day now (it took me awhile to get some photos taken obviously!) I love when clients have fun ideas and I get to help execute them. I was honored to be one of the first to know their sweet little secret and anyways, I share a little more about how Courtney pulled it off here!

Meet Max and His birth announcement

While we are on the topic of babies, I wanted to share this custom birth announcement that I did a couple of months ago. custom birth announcements

This design brought up a question that I've gotten before... What do you do for a child that will be called something other than their legal name? (This cute little guy's name is Bradley Maxwell, but he will be called Max.) I think it's necessary to use their full name on the announcement, but I do like to get creative if the parents want to let friends and family know what he will be called. In this case we went with 'Meet Max' and put his full name below with this birth statistics. I think it's a perfect balance and love how these turned out. Thanks Megan and welcome to the world baby Max!
