photo Simply-Sarah_Lauren-Chism5.jpg I am so excited to see this photo shoot! A few months ago, I sent off some wedding invitations samples to Sarah Todd, from Simply Sarah Photography, for a beach themed photo shoot. Sarah chose the colors scheme which was completely different than the sample invitations. It worked out perfectly with the rest of the design elements and was really fun to see it in a completely different light.

I love how they styled the invitation with a seafan and in the sand. Perfection.

I know that non-white dresses are rare, but this gold gown is a stunner and I love how magical it makes everything. It was my favorite part of the shoot!

My entire Resort collection is inspired by this type of beachy elegance, and so as you can imagine, I loved everything about this shoot. Check out more of the images on Style Me Pretty!

While I know every bride that comes through LC Fine Papers for their wedding invitations, the same can't be said for the brides that order my designs through Minted. I get a little email saying that someone, in some city, ordered a certain design, and I always wonder about who it is and what type of wedding they are having. So it is always a nice surprise when one of those weddings pop up on a blog and that's exactly what happened a few weeks ago on Snippet & Ink. photo Minted_Lauren-Chism-Fine-Papers1.jpg

My Twine wedding invitation was used in Glenn and Jennifer's black tie wedding in New Mexico.

They had such gorgeous details! I love those flowers - which the bride did herself! Impressive.

photo Shadi-and-John_Lauren-Chism-Fine-Papers_2.jpg I am so excited to share that one of my clients, Shadi, and her beautiful wedding was featured in Brides of North Texas Magazine! Not only did the wedding grace several pages of the magazine, the stunning bride was on the cover! They were married at Le Meridien, The Stoneleigh and it was the perfect setting for this jaw dropping wedding.

There were so many gorgeous details! Her dress was a show stopper, the florals were to die for, and those rings! I was honored to have a shot of her save the dates and wedding invitations included in the spread.

Shadi was so enjoyable to work with and I am so honored to have been a part of her big day! As always, I love being a part of such an awesome vendor group: After Yes, Bows + Arrows, Perez Photography and Sugar Bee Sweets! Living Life

I feel like I have dropped off the face of the (internet) world! This summer has been a whirlwind and I've been experiencing a little something different - not working! I mean, I am working, but I have been definitely sticking more to the 8-5 work day (ish) and taking the weekends off. I've been focusing on my clients only and leaving little time for those extra to-do's like blogging and social media, and it's been downright wonderful! Facebook emailed me last week about my page and said that 'Zero people are interested in my page'. Ouch! photo live-life_Lauren-chism.jpg

I saw this quote on Pinterest and it really resonated with me, so I made my own little graphic. I wouldn't say I get burned out on work, but when it comes to designing, I wasn't feeling the most creative. Not only that, but my drive to go above and beyond my current client load (i.e. promoting myself, blogging, new designs, new ideas) has just been lacking. When I saw this quote, I realized that it was okay to take a break and just enjoy life, and the result is that I am feeling refreshed! I wasn't in a rut, I was just living life outside of my business and in turn it has inspired my work and it feels good to be excited about my business again. I have a new invitation collection idea brewing, new photographs of my latest work, and a new inspiring office space - did I mention we moved? Yep, it's been a big few months but it's good to be getting back to normal, whatever that will be.
