Our Christmas Cards

Before Christmas is too distant of a memory, I thought I'd share my own holiday cards. I chose my 'Paw Print' design from Minted, because I love that it's fun but still elegant at the same time. It was one of my favorites and everyone loved it. It was so nice to have an updated photo of our little family, so thanks to Kristie Clark for snapping some photos of us. Photobucket

Receiving Christmas cards was especially fun this year because a fellow Minted designer organized a holiday card chain for a small group of us. It's safe to say that we received some of the most beautiful cards ever. Everyday my mailbox was full of awesome envelopes and cards. Trips to get the mail are decidedly less exciting now. Oh well, taking down the Christmas tree sucked too!

Do you wonder what some of the best stationery designers sent out themselves? My letterpress buddy Kimberly did a great recap of everyone's card, so you can see them all here!

2011 HOLIDAY COLLECTION

Photobucket The Holiday Collection is here! I've been working really hard to launch my holiday collection in coordination with my new stationery shop (oh by the way, I have a stationery shop now!), and while it's mostly holiday cards right now, I plan to spend the next couple of weeks adding a few more items that will be great gift ideas for the holidays. Think stamps, wine tags and notecards... I hope you enjoy!

Minted Holiday Minibook and New Years Cards

There's lots of excitement around Minted these days. With the launch of holiday cards and the announcement of all the awards, it's quite fun hearing new announcements every day. Yesterday, they announced the results of the Quickfire Holiday Minibook and New Years Card Challenge, and my design Twenty Twelve placed in the top 20! I love the different layouts of flat cards and minibook designs competing against each other. There was a great mix of both styles in the top 20. Check out the winners here.Photobucket

Also, today I found out that my design, The Year, was awarded 'Best Full Bleed Photo Design', in the Special Awards category. I am so excited! Check out the rest of the special award winners here.Photobucket

Look for these designs, as well as a few others, to go on sale soon!

Minted Holiday Collection Award

Last week was a big week for me! After making it into the top ten in the Sending Good Cheer Holiday Challenge, I found out that I won the opportunity to launch a commissioned holiday collection on Minted! Four designers with the most designs in the top 100 were chosen, and joining me are Alston Wise of B.Wise Papers, Megan Davis of Toast & Laurel, and Cambria Evans of J.Bartyn Design. I have been a fan of these designers since my first days at Minted, and am honored to be launching a collection along side them! I have to pinch myself, I feel so lucky! holiday photo cards

Crane & Co. Holiday Cards

It's the end of September, but I've been in holiday mode since June. Those holiday cards that you order (right before Christmas, if you are like most) are being designed all summer long and while some designers have a hard time getting in the holiday spirit in the dog days of summer, I feel like I can always get in the Christmas mood. Photo cards in general are my favorite to design, which means I really love working on holiday cards, and so I spent many months this summer working on collections for a variety of retailers. You might be used to seeing my designs on Minted and Indigo Prints, but this year, I have a few designs on Crane.com! Crane and Co. launched a new collection of digital photo cards for this holiday season and while it coincided with Minted's challenge, I was able to submit a few and had some success. The cards launched earlier last week, and I really enjoyed finally seeing my designs that I worked on so long ago. Enjoy the first of many holiday posts to come!
